After starting Wednesday and Thursday (Days 1a, 1b) with 493 total entrants, today’s action began with a field of 188. That number became 41 on Day 2 of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour Season 9 in Macau Friday. All survivors made it into the money with a guarantee of at least HK$54,500 and a shot at the silver trophy, bragging rights, and HK$2,525,000.

Xiaohua Fu took over the lead with 724,000. Neither of the first two event chip leaders made it into the top ten but the leading player from Day 1a, Zhifeng Yao made the cut with just 78,000 to carry into Day 3.
