After the success of the Club Regent Event Centre, the Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries is planning on expanding the Club Regent Casino even further. Setting a $30 million budget, the casino will now see a boutique hotel as well as two restaurants added to the casino gaming facility.

The Winnipeg casino will have 100 to 150 guest room options at the new boutique hotel as well as offer 200 to 250 seats in the new privately owned restaurants. Both the hotel and the new restaurants will be located on the west side of the casino property. They will be connected via an atrium and indoor courtyard. Amenities of the new facilities will include pop-up vendors and Liquor Mart Express.

Marina R. James is the CEO of Economic Development Winnipeg Inc and recently stated that the planned enhancements will help to support the growing profile of Winnipeg as a destination city for out-of-province tourists. The development will also have a significant effect on economic growth as many employment opportunities will be created, from the construction phase to the hospitality industry.
