Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd, based in Hong Kong and Macau, is again warning the public about fraudulent websites that are exploiting the company’s brands. Many of the company’s hotel and resort properties, photo images, and even customer services hotlines are being exploited by unauthorized online gaming and betting sites for the sole purpose of misleading the public.

A similar warning was issued last year in August. The casino operator ensures that the properties of the group have absolutely no affiliation with online gambling and no site or company has been authorized to solicit any form of online gambling.

The company has also stated that they may take legal action against anyone that is infringing on the company’s identity and exploiting the use of any brands. Online gambling is illegal in Macau, and the company states that it will not be liable for any losses or damages incurred from illegal online gambling.

Anyone who suspects a website to be fraudulent is urged to call the police and report the site. Any site that is found to be infringing trademarks could stand to be prosecuted and websites could be shut down if legal action is taken.

Galaxy Entertainment owns 6 casinos in Macau and Cotai including the Galaxy Macau, StarWorld Casino & Hotel, and  Broadway Macau which is expected to open in May. Broadway will be on the site of the former Grand Waldo and be connected to Galaxy Macau.
