Golden Nugget Atlantic City launched America’s first fully regulated online Live Dealer games on Thursday, August 11 at 6pm EST, via their instate-only online casino. Blackjack, American Roulette and Dragon Bonus Baccarat table games went live for home players and visitors from anywhere within the state’s borders using smart phones, tablets, or in-room internet, even poolside at another resort.

Warren Steven, Golden Nugget’s iGaming Rep told World Casino News that, “Golden Nugget continues to focus on pushing innovation into the New Jersey market, the next step for us was always going to be Live Dealer due to its land-based convergence opportunities and providing our new and existing customers with a full casino offering,” Steven said.

He explained further, “Live Dealer truly brings the casino floor into your living room, office or commute. People are now fully accustomed to streaming movies and videos to their favorite devices. Our Live Dealer technology uses the same tried and tested video streaming technology but in real-time, allowing customers to play Live Blackjack, Live Roulette or Live Dragon Bonus Baccarat from anywhere in New Jersey.”

The website is also reportedly working on expanding its offering with more side bets for blackjack and other innovations expected to launch before the end of the year.

Unlike random number generated online table games found in all other state-sanctioned US remote casinos, now live dealers use physical cards and roulette wheels, and patrons can pace their betting to the same speeds they find on casino floors, rather than as fast as they can push a button. Gamblers can also chat with the dealer and other players, and can even tip the dealer.

The games are streamed live from a state-of-the-art studio at the brick and mortar Golden Nugget. The Nugget’s technology partner in the innovative breakthrough is Ezugi NJ. According to a press release, “The wagering, playability and payout are all calculated in microseconds and displayed in real time on the players’ screens are as if you were sitting in Golden Nugget Atlantic City itself,” stated the media handout.

Company Chairman and CEO Tilman J. Fertitta stated, “We are excited to be the first domestic online gaming operator to bring Live Dealer to the US. This will clearly differentiate us from all other operators in the market, and we invite all online players to try this new and exciting online live gaming experience.”

Thomas Winter, Vice President of Online Gaming at Golden Nugget, said, “With the largest selection of online slots and now Online Live Dealer, GoldenNuggetCasino.com is more than ever the destination of choice for New Jersey online players,” and he said,  “Online Live Dealer creates true convergence between the casino floor at Golden Nugget Atlantic City and our online casino, which will appeal to the more traditional casino players who have yet to enjoy online real-money gaming.”

Golden Nugget led the field of Atlantic City online casinos in June, breaking a revenue record by surpassing the $3.5 million mark for a single month.

Notable attendees at the ribbon cutting for the ground-breaking event included CNBC’s Billion Dollar Buyer star and CEO of Landry’s Inc., Tilman Fertitta, as well as Mayor Don Guardian’s Chief of Staff, Chris Filiciello.

Golden Nugget’s technology partner, Ezugi NJ, is audited and certified by iTech Labs, according to the company’s website. They also offer live gaming solutions online internationally under Ezugi N.V. with sub-license No. 1668/JAZ issued to Curaçao eGaming by the government there.
