After seeing great success in just three months of operations, Jake’s 58 Hotel and Casino in Islandia has plans to add even more gaming machines. Operated by Suffolk OTB, the video lottery casino has stayed busy, so much so, that operators plan on adding 273 machines in just a few days.

According to Newsday.com, the new games will be added by next weekend and rightfully so as the VLT facility seems to be the most successful in the state of New York. State Gaming Commission figures show the venue makes more revenue per machine than nine out of 10 other VLT venues in the state.

For April, the average terminal at the gaming venue pulled in $778 a day. This is quite a bit more than the $326 per day average earned by other operators. Officials of the Suffolk County Regional Off-Track Betting Corp. state that they are not surprised to see the revenue that has been generated by the gaming venue. The officials have pointed out that the affluent market of Long Island along with the demand for electronic gaming has ensured their success.

Jake’s 58 opened on the 27th of February and began with 265 electronic gaming terminals. By March, the venue had added another 35 terminals and by May 1st, another 427 machines were added. Earnings at the venue have already skyrocketed due to the new machines and one could only expect the casino to earn even more once the additional VLTs are added in the coming days.

Delaware North is in charge of the facility for Suffolk OTB and they are trying to hurry and see the machines installed quickly to try and see even greater success. Gaming Commission reports showed that Jake’s 58 earned $1.56 million within the last week of April from VLTs while the first week of May jumped up to $2.1 million, which is the same time that the new machines were added.
