Due to retailers possibly using a lottery game to their own benefit, Connecticut lottery officials have decided to suspend the 5 Card Cash game for investigations. Officials of the lottery stated late last week that they have stopped all sales and payouts of the 5 Card Cash game to enhance security measures of the game.

It is believed that some retailers have intentionally used the reporting mechanism of the lottery terminals for their game. The retailers in questions have not been named nor how the terminals were able to be manipulated. The games have been stopped for now so that new software can be added to the gaming terminals to help enhance the security features for 5 Card Cash.

The state continues to investigate the matter as changes are being made. Anne Noble, the President of the Connecticut Lottery, stated that the integrity is paramount for the lottery and she expects the game to be back in action very soon. It appears as though no other lottery games were affected.
