The Las Vegas gambling market has now been introduced to skill-based gaming thanks to a partnership between Gamblit Gaming and Caesars Entertainment Corporation. Caesars Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino is the first to offer a new skill-based gaming option as the initial field trial takes place.

The new gaming option is titled ModelG and was created by Gamblit as a highly social and interactive table games experience. The ModelG has the ability to host two to four players who will then go head to head in a gaming matchup. The gaming terminals include multi-player functions with 42 inch shared touch screen. The new gaming system includes unique features for player comfort including a purse hook, two cup holders per player and a USB charging port.

Mark Frissora, the CEO and President of Caesars Entertainment, commented on the new gaming experience in a recent press release by stating that the partnership between Caesars and Gamblit brings a unique experience to the casino floor and is important to modernizing the gaming experience for customers. Like other gaming operators, Caesars is looking to reach the new generation of gamers who want skill-based gaming options on the casino floor.

Planet Hollywood has three gaming tables installed by Gamblit with each table featuring two games during the launch period; Gamblit Poker and Cannonbeard’s Treasure. With Gamblit Poker, players will find their skill and speed is tested with as much as 240x the bet in a single hand up for grabs if a winning hand is earned. During game play, two cards are provided for the player and a single deck will be shown in the middle of the table. Players have to quickly choose the cards they need in order to make the best poker hand.

With Cannonbeard’s Treasure, players are engaged in another card game with a fast-paced theme. The game is similar to blackjack and challenges players to create a hand without earning a win or busting out, initiating a burndown. When the burndown takes place, additional cards are dealt and the player who is closest to the objective without going over will win a chest of gold.

Once final regulatory approval is given, Caesars has plans to install additional games by Gamblit in properties throughout Nevada. Properties expected to add the new games include: Caesars Palace, Harrah’s Lake Tahoe and the LINQ Hotel & Casino. For California, Caesars will be using the Harrah’s Resort Southern California to debut the skill-based games. After field trials have been completed, Caesars has plans to install 200 terminals in their properties across the United States.
