Sky Racing World, a distributor of southern hemisphere thoroughbred and harness horseracing content to North and South America, has released its financial results for the twelve months to the end of June showing a 13% increase year-on-year in turnover to $215 million.

The Louisville-based firm is a subsidiary of Australian wagering operator Tabcorp and offered in excess of 7,800 Australian meetings over the year including late-March and early-April’s Sydney Racing Carnival where it saw its strongest day turnover of $1.4 million.

Sky Racing World declared that its improved performance can be partly attributed to “the quality of this year’s Australian racing season” and the wagering benefits associated with an average race field size of eleven, which prompted North American players to take advantage of “the strong dividends paid out” though its wagering platforms.

The Kentucky firm’s racing product from New Zealand also reported significant results with a 42% rise when compared with the previous year’s performance. It stated that the period additionally saw it begin offering daily South African racing, which generated “a strong turnover performance” that peaked with the Durban July meet.

“This year was a very successful one for both our New Zealand and South African racing products,” read the statement from Haslett. “These two markets showed substantial growth and we look forward to further pursuing these opportunities throughout the upcoming financial year.”
