Long drink lines seem to have sparked a massive brawl at Resorts World Casino New York. This Queens location had definite issues when chairs were hurled around  during the opening of Fat Tuesday;.  a daiquiri bar with New Orleans décor and style.

Officials stated approximately 24 people were involved in the brawl which broke out at 10pm. According to the witness statements and explanations about 300 people were in line waiting for drinks when fighting started.

Police told media that the scene looked much worse than it actually was, but this has not stopped the news from spreading with regards to the Grand Opening debacle.

Sensational headlines told the tale of 400 people in the fight, but videos have gone viral showing the true incident. The casino described damage as “minimal” while police reportedly placed it at around $2,000. Two men were arrested and one cited.

A casino spokesman has been quoted as saying, “The safety of our patrons is Resorts World’s top priority, and there is absolutely no room for this kind of behavior at our facility.

“We are reviewing all aspects of this unfortunate event and are fully committed to taking steps to ensure similar acts do not take place ever again.”
