The Silver Dollar Casino in Tobago was robbed of half a million dollars on Friday morning. The robbery was at gunpoint and occurred about 10:30am. The incident began with a woman who approached the still-locked door of the casino and an administrative manager was speaking with her when an armed man in a mask confronted the manager.

The couple demanded money and ordered staff to open the vault, where $500,000 was taken from the safe. The two suspects then fled in a vehicle.

The general manager of the casino, Biswajit Bakshi stated there was no casino security present when the crime happened. The Tobago Police are currently working on several leads.
