Wind Creek Hospitality, the gaming and hospitality arm of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians (PCI Gaming), and Betfred USA Sports, US subsidiary of UK-based bookmaker Betfred Group, recently debuted Pennsylvania‘s newest sportsbook at Wind Creek Bethlehem.

Located in the space formerly occupied by Celebrity chef Buddy Valastro’s Buddy V’s Ristorante, the full-service sportsbook is the result of a deal that was inked in January 2020. The sportsbook features 8 state-of-the-art self-service kiosks and multiple windows, a customizable 21-panel TV wall, and various seating options including traditional table seating and lounge chairs.

Betfred US books:

The book is Wind Creek’s first in the United States while it is number three for Betfred Sports. Buddy V’s opened in 2016 and will reportedly continue to provide food and drinks in the sportsbook, which includes a bar and grill.

Betfred has previously opened sportsbooks in Larchwood, Iowa at Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort, where just days before Super Bowl LIV, the 3,500-square-foot, $1.5 million sports betting venue became the first casino in the country to offer sports bets through Betfred, while Saratoga Casino in Black Hawk, Colorado accepted its first sports wager in June 2020 becoming the first casino in the western U.S. state to open a brick-and-mortar sportsbook.

Commenting on the significance of the new sportsbook, President and Chief Executive Officer for Wind Creek Hospitality, Jay Dorris said in a press release

“Opening the Sportsbook at Wind Creek Bethlehem provides yet another gaming opportunity for our guests. Partnering with Betfred USA Sports will allow us to bring a first-class sports betting experience in a high energy environment to the property.”

Online and mobile:

To formally introduce the new book to the local market, a grand opening for invited guests was hosted by Wind Creek Hospitality and Betfred USA Sports on November 21, 2020. Launch of the online sportsbook powered by Betfred Sports, alongside Wind Creek Casino mobile applications, will reportedly take place in the coming weeks.
