Yggdrasil Gaming has knocked it out of the park with its latest release, Hades Gigablox, making excellent use of its innovative Gigablox mechanic for just the second time since its introduction earlier this year.

This powerhouse of a video slot is hosted by the Greek god of the dead and the king of the underworld, Hades, who throughout the game is situated to the right of a 6×6 reel.

“The mechanic has already been a huge hit with players.”

The high volatility game builds off the first launch of its kind, Lucky Neko Gigablox, and introduces GigaBlox battles. In the second title to utilize the mechanic, a Gigablax is able to land on any spin with any of the symbols morphing into giant blocks potentially leading to some big wins.

Value-packed features:

In Hades the game, players will spend their time in the “King of the Dead’s” underworld realm where devilish delights, including the exciting Wild Hunt feature, reside. During the latter, the mighty Hades might decide to battle the monster symbols, waiting for the reels to stop spinning and then going all-in and turning the defeated into wilds. The action is applicable to both regular-sized monster symbols as well as the gigantic Gigablox versions.

Landing at least five scatter symbols triggers the extra spins mode, with the biggest of Gigablox symbols awarding up to 16 scatters. Once in, the Wild Hunt is activated on every spin, while Hades battles all high symbols. The more battles his darkness wins, the more the Cereberus Multiplier increases, with up to 10 times multiplier values available during the bonus feature.

Mass appeal mechanic:

Commenting on the exciting new game, Senior Games Strategist for YggdrasilJonas Strandman, said in a company press release

“We’re delighted to launch our latest Gigablox™ title, Hades, as we invite players to enter the King of the Underworld’s realm and escape with the riches below.

Hades Gigablox joins the Cherry AB subsidiary’s recently released Hyperburst, adding to its fast-growing proprietary slot catalog. The Swedish provider’s portfolio is additionally complemented by games from the flourishing YG Masters program.

YG Masters addition:

Meanwhile, Yggdrasil has enhanced its YG Masters program, adding up-and-coming slots developer Peter & Sons to the fray.
