Casino operator Sands China Limited has announced that its French-themed The Parisian Macao property will open from September 13 complete with 3,000 guestrooms and suites along with a half-scale replica of the Eiffel Tower.
A majority-held subsidiary of Las Vegas Sands Corporation, Sands Macao Limited stated that the new Cotai Strip property will mark “yet another major milestone” in its efforts at supporting Macau’s development into a world centre of tourism and leisure and brings its total investment in the former Portuguese enclave to over $13 billion.
“Our goal to create a large-scale leisure and business destination in Macau, which started with the opening of The Venetian Macao nearly ten years ago, will be fully realized when The Parisian Macao opens its doors in a matter of weeks,” read a statement from Sheldon Adelson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for Las Vegas Sands Corporation. “It’s unlikely another tourism development with the size and scope of the Cotai Strip will ever be achieved again. Sands China Limited revealed that The Parisian Macao will additionally offer convention and meeting spaces as well as international restaurants, a spa and health club, a 1,200-seat theatre, a kids’ club and a pool deck featuring a themed water park.
