Jeju Dream Tower closed the 2025 financial year with a sharp increase in casino revenue, supported by a strong rise in visitor numbers, even as performance varied across individual business segments. Financial disclosures from operator Lotte Tour Development Co Ltd show that the foreigner-only casino resort on Jeju Island recorded casino sales of KRW476.6 billion, equivalent to approximately US$330 million, marking a 61.8 percent increase compared with the previous year.
The annual performance reflected a significant rebound in gaming activity throughout the year. Casino sales rose from KRW294.63 billion in 2024 to KRW476.62 billion in 2025, according to unaudited figures submitted to the Korea Exchange. Growth in visitation played a central role, with the casino receiving 590,332 visitors over the full year. This represented a 54.1 percent increase from the 383,073 visitors recorded in 2024, based on the company’s supplementary business data.
Table Games Drive Revenue Growth
As GGRAsia reports, gaming tables continued to generate the majority of casino income in 2025. Full-year table game revenue reached KRW455.6 billion, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 64.9 percent. Machine gaming contributed KRW21.1 billion during the same period, representing growth of 14.4 percent compared with the prior year.
The increase in table activity was also reflected in the amount of money exchanged for chips on the gaming floor. Aggregate table drop for the year reached nearly KRW2.46 trillion, representing a 62.2 percent increase year on year. Another data set cited a total drop figure of KRW2.77 trillion, indicating a rise of just over 60 percent compared with 2024.
December results illustrated both the strength of the year and the impact of seasonality. Casino sales for the month reached approximately KRW41.0 billion, which was 73.8 percent higher than December 2024 but 20.2 percent lower than the preceding month of November. During December, table game revenue came in at nearly KRW38.9 billion, reflecting a 75.6 percent year-on-year increase while declining 22.1 percent on a month-on-month basis.
Slot machine revenue during December totalled roughly KRW2.1 billion. This figure represented a 46.4 percent increase compared with the same month in the previous year and a 44.2 percent rise from November, showing more stable short-term performance compared with table games.
Visitor Numbers Remain Elevated Despite Monthly Fluctuations
Casino visitation remained strong toward the end of the year. In December alone, the property welcomed 50,657 casino visitors. This figure was slightly higher than the 50,620 visitors recorded in November and significantly above the 36,490 visitors seen in December 2024.
While monthly casino sales dipped sequentially in December, Lotte Tour attributed the decline primarily to seasonal factors rather than weakening demand. The broader annual trend continued to show steady recovery in international travel and gaming activity at the Jeju resort.
Hotel Segment Records Mixed Results
Non-gaming operations showed a different performance pattern during 2025. Full-year hotel sales amounted to KRW80.6 billion, representing a 4.8 percent decline compared with the previous year. This contrasted with the strong gains reported by the casino business.
Despite the annual decline, hotel performance improved toward the end of the year. December hotel sales reached KRW7.53 billion, reflecting a 36.8 percent increase year on year and a 16.0 percent rise compared with November. The late-year improvement partially offset weaker performance earlier in the year.
Jeju Dream Tower operates as an integrated resort, combining gaming, hospitality, retail, and entertainment facilities. The property includes a casino floor with 150 gaming tables and 300 slot machines, alongside a hotel offering approximately 1,600 all-suite rooms operated under the Grand Hyatt brand. Additional amenities include multiple restaurants and bars, a retail mall, spa facilities, and an outdoor pool deck.
The casino was relocated to the current Jeju Dream Tower complex in June 2021, moving from its former location at Lotte Hotel Jeju. Since the relocation, the resort has steadily expanded its gaming footprint and visitor capacity, positioning 2025 as its strongest year to date in terms of casino revenue and visitor volume.
