The Elk Valley Rancheria Indians officially opened its Crescent City, California casino on Friday. The Elk Valley casino offers 36,000 square feet of gaming space, around 50% more space than the older casino of the tribe. The Elk Valley Casino replaced an older facility located two miles from the new property.
Get to Know the New Casino
So, what does Elk Valley Casino offer? The new venue is quite large, with a gaming floor offering 300 slot games. For table game fans, the casino is home to options like blackjack and Spanish 21. Poker is also on the table, literally, as the casino has a separate poker room. In this space, players can take part in cash games and tournaments.
The casino also provides a bingo space. The event center will offer bingo regularly for enthusiasts of the game. Because the tribe offered casino gaming in an older property, any guests of the new casino can continue with points and benefits earned at the older location. And of course, the rewards system will continue at the new facility.
Aside from gaming, the new casino is also home to an events center. The space will host exciting events including touring acts. Dining is also an option on-site along with a gift shop that features coffee and desserts.
Additional Casino Info
The Elk Valley Rancheria Indians took great care in designing the space to ensure the new property was enjoyed by guests and a safe place to visit. A state-of-the-art ventilation system was added that includes a Synexis Bio-Defense System. This system works to provide a healthy environment by fighting viruses, smoke, and bacteria.
Guests can park in a large lot created by the tribe on site, with special EV charging stations and ADA accessible options. Thought was put into every area of the casino so that each guest would feel at home and comfortable when visiting.
The new California facility has been a long time coming. The original casino of the tribe opened way back in 1995. The new Elk Valley Casino is larger and closer to Highway 101 for easy access. It took eight years for the casino to secure the funding needed to use the new site based on a federal trust. Once the property qualified as an Indian gaming casino the tribe could start the construction process.
It may have taken quite a long time, but Elk Valley Casino is now in business. The tribe hosted an opening ceremony on Friday with a special ribbon cutting. Events took place all weekend including promotions and giveaways.
