PrizePicks, North America’s top daily fantasy sports (DFS) platform, has officially partnered with the Houston Astros in a move that strengthens its growing foothold in Major League Baseball. The newly announced multi-year collaboration designates PrizePicks as the Official Daily Fantasy Sports Partner of the Astros, featuring an array of digital integrations and in-stadium experiences at Daikin Park.

As part of the agreement, PrizePicks will receive prominent brand visibility throughout the Astros’ home stadium. This includes both static and rotating signage, helping to amplify the DFS provider’s presence directly to the team’s fan base. The deal also incorporates pre-game features on the Astros Radio Network through sponsored “More or Less” segments that engage listeners with fantasy-style predictions before each matchup.

“This partnership is all about bringing more fun and bigger rewards to PrizePicks players in Houston,” said Mike Quigley, Chief Marketing Officer at PrizePicks, in a company press release. “We’re rolling out new promotions and experiences that make following the Astros even more exciting for fans — both at the ballpark and at home.”

Enhancing Fan Experience Through Promotions and Giveaways

A standout element of the partnership is the “City Connect Monday” initiative. This promotion aligns with the Astros’ Monday home games, where players sport their Nike City Connect uniforms. Fans who participate in this promotion could walk away with a free PrizePicks fantasy lineup worth $10,000 and tickets to a future Astros game, offering them a chance to watch their fantasy picks in real time at Daikin Park.

In addition to the in-game enhancements, the partnership strategically positions PrizePicks to tap into the Texas market, where sports betting remains illegal. With legislative efforts stalled—any bills aiming to legalize sports betting were declared “dead on arrival” earlier in the 2025 Texas legislative session—DFS platforms like PrizePicks offer Texans one of the few interactive alternatives for sports engagement.

Building Responsible Fantasy Play Amid Growth

Matt Richardson, the Astros’ Vice President of Corporate Partnerships, emphasized the value of the collaboration. “We are thrilled to add PrizePicks as an official Astros partner,” Richardson stated. “PrizePicks continues to invest in Major League Baseball and is committed to engaging fantasy sports fans in both a responsible and fun way.”

PrizePicks has reinforced its dedication to responsible gaming practices as it broadens its national reach. In 2025, the company became the first and only DFS operator to receive iCAP accreditation from the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG), highlighting its commitment to player safety and ethical operations.

The partnership with the Astros follows similar deals that PrizePicks recently established with the San Francisco Giants and San Diego Padres. Additionally, the company renewed its agreement with the Atlanta Braves for another three years, marking its ongoing investment in MLB partnerships since the initial Braves collaboration began in 2020.

Texas Market Offers Unique Opportunity

Texas remains one of the largest untapped sports betting markets in the country due to its legislative landscape. With lawmakers only convening every two years, the next potential opportunity to revisit sports betting legalization won’t arise until 2027. This delay makes DFS platforms like PrizePicks a primary option for Texans seeking to engage with sports in a betting-like format.

By anchoring itself with the Astros, PrizePicks aims to solidify its presence among Texas sports fans while continuing to promote innovative, skill-based fantasy experiences.
