Fanatics Betting and Gaming has officially marked its entry into the Philippines through a newly launched partnership with Claymore Solutions, positioning the country as a key base for regulated international gaming support. The announcement was made during a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Taguig City, where new offices dedicated to Fanatics were unveiled.
A new chapter for gaming support in the Philippines:
This collaboration underscores Fanatics’ strategic expansion beyond the U.S., tapping into the Philippines’ strong reputation for business process outsourcing (BPO) and skilled talent. Claymore Solutions, recognized by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) as a Special Class BPO, will deliver back-office services exclusively for internationally licensed gaming companies—strictly excluding betting operations or direct handling of gaming funds.
Speaking at the event, Claymore Chairman and co-founder Paul Fox emphasized the broader employment mission behind the venture: “Claymore will deliver thousands of high-quality jobs to Filipinos by supporting the growth of reputable gaming operators worldwide.” He added, “We are honored by the support of President Marcos and the continued support of PAGCOR, particularly Chairman Al Tengco, whose vision has been crucial in positioning the Philippines as a trusted hub for global gaming support.”
Claymore’s services include end-to-end human resources, payroll management, recruitment support, and access to fully serviced office spaces. Clients may either use Claymore’s recruitment team or deploy their own in-house hiring operations.
Fanatics CTO Ian Botts commented: “We are excited to access world-class talent to support our operations as we continue our mission to deliver a premier gaming experience for our customers.” CFO Andrea Ellis echoed this sentiment, stating: “It’s a real honor to help open this beautiful new space. It represents so much more than just desks and whiteboards — it’s a physical symbol of a partnership that’s been years in the making.”
Filling the employment void left by POGO closures:
The partnership arrives at a time when the Philippines is undergoing a shift in its gaming employment landscape. Following the government’s discontinuation of the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) licensing regime, over 40,000 Filipino workers lost jobs tied to gaming. Claymore aims to address this disruption by offering stable, long-term positions through partnerships with globally recognized gaming brands like Fanatics.
As reported by Inquirer.net, PAGCOR Chairman Alejandro Tengco praised the development, calling it “the beginning of a transformative chapter in the Philippine BPO sector, with Special Class BPOs like Claymore leading the charge.”
Founded in 2021, Fanatics Betting and Gaming has rapidly expanded across the U.S. The Fanatics Sportsbook is now accessible to 95% of the U.S. online sports betting market, while Fanatics Casino operates in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. The company also runs 22 retail sportsbook locations, including the only sportsbook located inside an NFL stadium.
This Philippine initiative signals a strategic shift to enhance its global operational capacity through offshore support. While Fanatics has maintained a strong domestic growth trajectory, including recent sportsbook launches in New York and other U.S. states, its move to build infrastructure in Asia may indicate a broader long-term vision.
Claymore Solutions, founded in 2023 by Paul Fox and Nathan Kinsella, now counts Fanatics as its first major client. Additional client partnerships are expected to be announced soon, further expanding its role in gaming support services.
