Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel in Washington officially opened its long-anticipated hotel on August 8, marking the completion of a project that has been in the works for seven years. The ribbon-cutting ceremony drew hundreds of attendees, including Snoqualmie Tribe elders, media, community members, and local stakeholders. Robert de los Angeles, chairperson of the Snoqualmie Tribal Council, emphasized the significance of the casino’s history, recalling how its 2008 debut was “more than a start of a business. It was a homecoming and foundation of economic growth we continue to build today.” He said that August 8, 2025, would stand alongside November 6, 2008, as a defining date for the tribe.

The day’s events began with an official ceremony at the porte cochère, where Tribal leaders and executives marked the expansion’s completion. Guests explored the resort’s newest features, culminating in a first-ever drone show over Snoqualmie Valley, symbolizing the resort’s forward-looking vision. CEO Mary Lou Patterson called it “the beginning of a new era” for both the resort and the community.

Luxury Hotel Tower and Cultural Design Elements

The hotel’s 210-room tower offers a selection of deluxe and premium accommodations, plus grand and signature suites measuring 965 square feet. Approximately half of the rooms provide views of Mount Si, and design elements pay tribute to Snoqualmie heritage. The tower’s roofline reflects traditional longhouses, while custom carpets depict river patterns and hallways feature photographs from the tribe’s annual canoe journey. Art from Indigenous creators appears throughout the property, and a brochure listing the artists is being prepared for guests.

An entire floor is dedicated to a convention center with breakout rooms, a large ballroom, a bar, and stage facilities equipped with modern presentation technology. Another floor houses the MoonRise Spa, offering treatment rooms, a sauna, steam room, relaxation lounge, and public access to the pool and fitness center. The indoor pool opens onto an outdoor deck overlooking the Cascades, with both indoor and outdoor hot tubs available.

The opening also introduced Hawks Peak, a sports bar featuring 66 screens, sports memorabilia, and upscale pub fare. Drip coffee shop has expanded to a second location inside the hotel, operating around the clock and serving handcrafted beverages and snacks. The grand lobby includes a gift shop and a non-smoking slot floor.

These additions join the casino’s existing offerings, which include Washington’s first sportsbook, nearly 1,700 slot machines, and 58 table games such as blackjack, roulette, and baccarat. The property also hosts national entertainment acts, five dining venues, and a premier cigar lounge. A 2,000-seat entertainment and convention venue enhances its capability to attract large-scale events.

Strategic Location and Regional Impact

Located just 30 minutes from downtown Seattle and near the home stadiums of the Seahawks, Sounders, and Mariners, the resort is positioned as a convenient getaway for both local and visiting guests. Its expansion strengthens Snoqualmie Valley’s tourism profile, offering a blend of luxury accommodations, cultural heritage, and diverse entertainment under one roof.

De los Angeles credited the dedication of the tribal council, casino team, and community members who contributed to the project’s vision. “Your vision will be remembered for generations,” he told them, as published by Snoqualmie Valley Record, underscoring the project’s role as both a business achievement and a cultural landmark.
