Aristocrat Leisure Limited has announced significant changes to its senior leadership, with departures and new appointments that will reshape both its Interactive business and corporate affairs division. The Australia-listed company confirmed that two long-serving executives are leaving, while two seasoned industry figures will take on expanded responsibilities.
Moti Malul, CEO of Aristocrat Interactive, will step down and officially exit the business in March 2026. He will be succeeded by Dylan Slaney, who is scheduled to begin his new role on November 3, 2025, subject to receiving regulatory approvals. At the same time, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Natalie Toohey is departing after almost seven years, with Barry French immediately stepping in to lead an enlarged corporate affairs and marketing function.
Malul to Exit; Slaney to Lead Interactive
Malul’s time at Aristocrat began following the group’s April 2024 acquisition of NeoGames SA, where he had served as CEO. After the deal, he was appointed as the first chief executive of the newly created Aristocrat Interactive division. According to the company, Malul “successfully led NeoGames SA through its acquisition by Aristocrat, and steered the creation of the Aristocrat Interactive business over the past 18 months.”
During his tenure, Malul oversaw the integration of multiple teams, established a growth strategy, and laid the foundation for Aristocrat’s expansion in real money gaming and iLottery. He will remain with the company through the end of his notice period and contractual obligations.
His successor, Dylan Slaney, brings more than a decade of international experience in iGaming. He was most recently CEO of Light & Wonder’s iGaming division, a role he left in late 2024, and previously held senior positions at NYX, SG Digital, and global data science firm Dunnhumby. Aristocrat described him as an executive with “a track record of driving operational excellence and a customer first approach that delivers transformative growth.”
Group CEO and Managing Director Trevor Croker welcomed the appointment, noting in the company’s press release: “Dylan’s deep iGaming experience and track record of operational delivery will help us accelerate momentum in Aristocrat Interactive, including building on our market-leading position in iLottery, in line with our strategy.”
Toohey Departs; French Expands Corporate Affairs Role
Alongside changes in the Interactive business, Aristocrat confirmed the departure of Natalie Toohey, who has led the company’s corporate affairs for nearly seven years. The company said she has “chosen to pursue new opportunities” but will remain available on a consulting basis to ensure continuity.
Toohey was credited with transforming Aristocrat’s corporate affairs and investor relations capabilities, strengthening global stakeholder engagement, and contributing to the company’s resilience and growth during her tenure. Croker expressed his gratitude, saying, “I also want to thank Natalie for her outstanding contribution. Natalie transformed our Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations capabilities and impact globally, while deepening vital stakeholder relationships and playing an important role in the resilience and growth of the business over a sustained period.”
Taking on the expanded role of Chief Corporate Affairs and Marketing Officer is Barry French, described as “a seasoned corporate affairs and marketing executive with over 35 years of leadership experience in the telecommunications, transport, aerospace, defence, and technology sectors.” French has previously served as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Inmarsat and at Nokia, and has led international teams across the US, UK, and Finland.
“I also look forward to Barry further building our reputation and stakeholder relationships, while forging a global Marketing function to better steward our brands and unlock more strategic benefits,” Croker said.
Both Slaney and French will report directly to Croker and will join Aristocrat’s Executive Steering Committee. Slaney will be based in London, while French will operate out of Las Vegas. Croker emphasized that these leadership changes will “consolidate the strong progress” made by the group and support the next stage of its strategic delivery.
“I want to express my thanks to Moti for his leadership through a period in which we brought together multiple teams to create Aristocrat Interactive, put in place an ambitious Group growth plan and took foundational steps towards its delivery,” Croker added.
The leadership reshuffle comes as Aristocrat continues to deliver robust financial performance. In May, the company reported revenue of just above AUD3.03 billion for the first half of its fiscal year, an 8.7% increase on the prior-year period. However, net profit after tax and before amortisation of acquired intangibles (NPATA) fell 15.1% year-on-year to AUD578.7 million.
With these leadership adjustments, Aristocrat aims to accelerate its strategy across both digital and corporate divisions, reinforcing its presence in iGaming and enhancing its stakeholder engagement capabilities worldwide.
