White Hat Studios has expanded its presence in West Virginia after reaching an agreement with Delaware North to supply online casino content to the Betly mobile sportsbook and casino. The launch places the supplier’s portfolio directly into one of the United States’ regulated iGaming markets and adds new branded titles and jackpot systems to Betly’s existing platform.

Through the partnership, Betly players in West Virginia can now access a range of White Hat Studios content that includes well-known branded slot games such as Ted, The Goonies, and the award-winning 7s Fire Blitz series. The rollout also introduces White Hat Studios’ progressive jackpot products, Jackpot Royale and Jackpot Royale Express, which are currently active across more than 40 games.

White Hat Studios operates as a U.S.-focused content provider and supplies games to all seven regulated online casino states in the country. The company also makes its content available to players in Ontario. Since entering the U.S. market in 2021, the studio has continued to expand state by state, with West Virginia identified as a priority market following its performance in other regulated jurisdictions.

Expanded Game Catalog for Betly Players

The Betly launch includes more than third-party content. As part of the integration, Betly has released its first branded online casino title, Betly Player’s Choice Blackjack. The addition gives the operator a proprietary game within its casino lobby and supports its broader approach to player engagement and retention.

White Hat Studios’ jackpot networks play a central role in the new offering. Jackpot Royale functions as a multi-game progressive system built around shared jackpot pools that connect multiple titles. By linking jackpots across games, the system encourages players to explore different content within the same casino environment while maintaining a unified promotional structure.

Daniel Lechner, SVP of Sales and Marketing at White Hat Studios, said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Delaware North on the Betly online casino app in West Virginia. This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering top-tier content quickly and seamlessly to operators across the U.S. With our portfolio of fan-favorite branded titles and innovative features like Jackpot Royale, we’re confident we’ll make an immediate impact for Betly and its players.”

Bob Akeret, General Manager for Betly, added: “We’re excited to welcome White Hat Studios onto our Betly platform in West Virginia. Their reputation for delivering engaging, high-quality games, especially branded content, makes them an ideal partner as we continue to elevate our casino experience.”

West Virginia’s Role in Regulated iGaming

West Virginia has positioned itself as an active regulated online casino market under House Bill 2934, with the West Virginia Lottery overseeing licensing and compliance. The framework allows licensed land-based casinos, along with their partners, to offer online casino gaming statewide. As a result, operators compete on game variety and tools designed to support sustained play.

Betly launched its West Virginia online casino and sportsbook in 2023, offering real-money casino games through its website and mobile applications. The integration of branded entertainment content and networked jackpots aligns with the operator’s efforts to broaden its casino catalog in a competitive environment.

Strategic Shifts for Both Companies

The agreement with White Hat Studios arrives during a period of adjustment for Betly. Delaware North recently announced plans to exit Tennessee’s online sports betting market, with Betly users in that state able to withdraw funds until Dec. 29. The move leaves Betly active in fewer markets, including Arkansas, Ohio, and West Virginia, which remains the only state where the brand offers online casino gaming.

White Hat Studios has also extended its reach beyond online platforms. Earlier this year, the company signed a distribution deal with Gaming Arts to supply content to land-based casinos, marking its first step into retail casino gaming. The arrangement supports the studio’s effort to expand its footprint across both digital and physical casino channels.
