Kalshi has expanded its presence in professional sports through a series of new agreements with Major League Baseball franchises, securing partnerships with five clubs as interest in baseball-related prediction markets continues to rise.

The company announced multi-year arrangements with the Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants. The agreements mark the first time Kalshi has entered into partnerships with MLB organizations and significantly increase the platform’s visibility within professional baseball.

Under the deals, Kalshi will become an official prediction market partner of each club. The collaborations include a range of marketing opportunities spanning stadium advertising, digital promotions, radio exposure and fan engagement activities throughout the season.

The move represents one of the largest expansions by a prediction market operator into Major League Baseball to date. With five clubs now under contract, Kalshi has established relationships with nearly 17% of MLB franchises. Industry estimates cited by the company suggest the partnered teams collectively reach between 60 million and 65 million fans, while also maintaining a combined social media audience of roughly nine million followers on X.

“The idea is that fans are already engaging with their favorite teams on Kalshi, so it only makes sense to extend that fandom to some of the most beloved baseball teams in America,” said Adam Barrick, Head of Sports Partnerships at Kalshi, in an official statement posted on the company’s website.

Stadium Branding and Fan Engagement Plans

The agreements provide Kalshi with a broad range of promotional opportunities across each franchise’s media and event channels. The company will receive exposure through in-stadium signage and LED displays, along with placement across team-operated social media platforms, websites and radio programming.

The partnership with the Los Angeles Dodgers includes several high-profile branding elements. Kalshi will gain naming rights to the Gold Glove Bar at Dodger Stadium, an indoor sports bar located beneath the Left Field Pavilion that overlooks the Dodgers bullpen. The company will also feature branded LED signage throughout the venue.

In addition to visual branding, fans attending Dodgers games will have access to exclusive promotions linked to the partnership. Kalshi plans to host special activations in Centerfield Plaza and provide offers tied specifically to the collaboration.

Similar promotional efforts are expected across the Braves, Red Sox, Padres and Giants agreements, with each partnership designed to increase awareness of prediction markets among baseball audiences.

Baseball Trading Activity Drives Expansion

The company’s growing focus on baseball comes as trading activity related to the sport has increased sharply over the past year. According to Kalshi, trading volume connected to baseball markets has expanded more than 36 times year over year.

Users of the platform can trade contracts tied to a variety of baseball outcomes, including individual games, player performances and season-long futures markets.

One of the strongest areas of activity has been the World Series futures market. Kalshi reported that nearly $60 million has been traded through that market alone, highlighting the increasing interest in baseball-related event contracts.

The latest MLB partnerships align with that growth trend and provide Kalshi with direct access to fan bases that are already heavily engaged with the sport.

Founded in 2018, Kalshi operates as a regulated exchange focused on event-based contracts. The company describes prediction markets as a tool that allows participants to assess the probability of future events through market pricing.

Prediction Market Competition Reaches Baseball

Kalshi’s expansion arrives during a period of increased competition among prediction market platforms seeking visibility through professional sports partnerships.

Prior to the latest announcement, Kalshi’s sports partnership portfolio included organizations such as the National Hockey League, the Chicago Blackhawks, LALIGA North America and the Argentina Football Association.

The race to secure relationships with MLB teams has accelerated in recent months. Novig became the first prediction market company to partner with a Major League Baseball franchise when it reached an agreement with the New York Mets on July 30. Shortly afterward, Polymarket entered the baseball partnership space through a deal with the New York Yankees announced on August 6.

Some signs of Kalshi’s new MLB relationships had already appeared before the formal announcement. The Boston Red Sox shared content featuring Kalshi branding days earlier, while signage connected to the company had also been visible during Dodgers games.

The Red Sox partnership also comes while legal proceedings involving Kalshi continue in Massachusetts. An injunction targeting the company’s sports event contracts remains paused as an appeal process moves forward.

Despite ongoing regulatory discussions surrounding prediction markets in several jurisdictions, operators continue to pursue high-profile sports marketing opportunities. Kalshi’s latest agreements with five MLB clubs further strengthen its position in the sector while reflecting the growing commercial interest surrounding event-based trading products linked to professional sports.
