Nolimit City has expanded its Duck Hunters slot franchise with the release of Duck Hunters 2, a follow-up to the original title that builds on the position multiplier mechanics that have become increasingly common across the online slot market in recent years.
The new online slot retains the core multiplier-based format of its predecessor while increasing the maximum multiplier available on a single position and introducing additional bonus upgrades, feature-buy options and side-bet mechanics. According to the developer, the sequel aims to deliver a more volatile experience, supported by a top payout of 40,000 times the stake.
Duck Hunters 2 launches with a 96.00% RTP (return to player percentage) configuration as its highest available setting, alongside alternative versions with RTP levels of 94.05% and 92.01%. The game carries an extreme volatility rating and allows bets ranging from €0.20 to €100 per spin.
Sequel Returns to the Forest With Expanded Gameplay
While the original game took place in a more casual hunting environment, Duck Hunters 2 shifts the action deeper into the woods and introduces a more chaotic setting. The ducks, previously depicted as targets, now appear armed and ready to retaliate.
The game’s promotional description summarizes the theme by stating: “these feathered bastards ain’t flying south no more. They’re coming for us!”
The slot uses a 6×5 reel layout and evaluates wins using a scatter-pay system. Players receive payouts when eight or more matching symbols appear anywhere on the grid. Symbols include hunting-themed items such as slingshots, eggs, canned meat and firearms, alongside duck characters and several human character symbols including Fanboy, Gamer, Phil, Granny and Santa.
The strongest symbol combinations can award up to 6x the stake when 12 or more matching premium symbols land during a spin.
As in the original game, winning symbols disappear from the grid and trigger cascading reactions. Every winning position receives a multiplier, beginning at x2 and doubling whenever additional wins occur in the same location. Multipliers can increase to a maximum value of x16,384. Random multipliers may also be applied before a spin begins.
The title’s mathematical profile includes a hit frequency of 17.68%, while free spins are expected to appear approximately once every 203 to 230 spins depending on the reported calculation source. The maximum win probability has been listed at roughly one occurrence in 88 million spins.
Bonus Features Increase Multiplier Potential
Several special symbols influence gameplay throughout the base game and bonus rounds.
Wild symbols substitute for standard paying icons, while xWays symbols transform into matching symbols and increase position multipliers by two, four or eight times. Infectious xWays take the mechanic further by converting all matching symbols on the grid into the same expanded symbol.
Bomb symbols provide another method of increasing multiplier values. Once activated, they remove themselves and symbols positioned above them, while simultaneously applying escalating multipliers to affected reel positions. An upgraded version of the feature available during bonus rounds removes symbols both above and below the bomb.
Free spins activate when three, four or five scatter symbols land. Three scatters award seven Duck Hunt Spins, four scatters trigger eight Hawk Eye Spins and five scatters unlock ten Big Game Spins. Multipliers accumulated before the feature remain active throughout the bonus round.
Each free-spin mode includes upgrade selections that can modify gameplay. Available enhancements include upgraded xWays, upgraded Bombs, extra spins, additional multipliers and increased upgrade allocations. Duck Hunt Spins begin with one upgrade, Hawk Eye Spins award two upgrades and Big Game Spins provide three.
Players can also receive extra spins through special symbols that award one or two additional shots depending on the active upgrade configuration.
Feature Buys, Boosters and Side Hustles
Duck Hunters 2 offers an extensive collection of optional purchase features.
The game’s Feature Buy menu allows direct access to bonus rounds, including Duck Hunt Spins for 80x the bet, Hawk Eye Spins for 240x and Big Game Spins for 700x. A Lucky Draw option priced at 275x randomly awards one of the available bonus modes.
Two additional premium features focus on specific mechanics. The xWays Juicer option costs 500x the bet and guarantees Infectious xWays during each spin, while Bomb Juicer is priced at 2,800x and guarantees upgraded Bomb functionality throughout the feature.
The Booster menu includes options designed to alter the starting conditions of a session. Players can guarantee scatter symbols, increase starting multipliers across the entire grid or activate enhanced bonus-hunting conditions. Available multiplier presets range from x8 on every position to x2,048.
The slot also introduces a Side Hustles system, which functions as an optional stake increase tied to specific outcomes. These wagers reward players for events such as reaching the maximum x16,384 multiplier, landing exactly two scatter symbols, completing a dead spin or removing selected high-paying symbols during a round.
