Century Entertainment International Holdings has disclosed that it was informed in April that its Philippine strategic partner, World Platinum Technologies Inc. (WPT), had lost key gaming accreditations, while maintaining that alternative regulatory arrangements have allowed its online gaming operations in the country to continue uninterrupted.

The Hong Kong-listed company outlined the developments in its annual report for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, which was released on September 25. The filing provides additional detail on the status of the group’s Philippine gaming business and its response to regulatory changes introduced by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).

The disclosure follows earlier questions surrounding when Century Entertainment became aware that WPT’s accreditations had been revoked and how the loss of those approvals might affect the company’s operations in the Philippines.

Company Cites Alternative Accredited Providers

According to the annual report, Century Entertainment received notice in mid-April 2026 that WPT’s Gaming System Administrator (GSA) and Gaming Content Provider (GCP) accreditations had been canceled.

According to Asia Gaming Brief, the company stated: “In mid-April 2026, the Group was informed by the Strategic Partner that its GSA and GCP licenses had been canceled.”

Century Entertainment explained that its Philippine venture operates through Konphil Technology Company Limited, a joint venture in which it holds a 51% stake. The company said Konphil had already secured an arrangement with another PAGCOR-accredited Gaming Content Provider before new requirements affecting foreign game providers came into force on March 26.

The report also stated that WPT subsequently entered into an agreement with a separate PAGCOR-accredited Gaming System Administrator in early April. Under that arrangement, Konphil’s modified gaming platforms would be offered through the accredited provider’s platform.

Century Entertainment said it sought legal guidance on the issue and was advised that its operational structure remained compliant with Philippine gaming regulations despite the cancellation of WPT’s accreditations.

“The Group has consulted its Philippines legal counsel in relation to the above matters,” Century Entertainment said. “The Group’s Philippines legal counsel has concluded that the agreement between the Strategic Partner and the other PAGCOR-accredited GSA is valid; and given that Konphil has appointed a separate PAGCOR-accredited GCP as its exclusive distributor in accordance with the requirements of the 2026 PAGCOR Amendment, the Group’s Phase 4 operations are not affected as a matter of Philippines gaming law.”

The company added that its Phase 4 activities continue to operate through the relevant accredited arrangements established with the new Gaming Content Provider.

“Based on the advice referred to above, the Directors consider that the cancellation of the Strategic Partner’s GSA and GCP licences does not, as a matter of Philippines gaming law, affect the Group’s Phase 4 operations,” it continued. “The Board will continue to monitor the situation.”

Century Entertainment characterizes Phase 3 as the operational launch of the venture, while Phase 4 represents a period of extended testing and commercial expansion.

Revenue Growth Follows Shift to Philippine Online Gaming

The Philippine business has become a central component of Century Entertainment’s ongoing transformation after the company exited its land-based gaming table operations in Cambodia.

The group formally ended all Cambodian table gaming activities in April 2025 and redirected its focus toward online gaming services in the Philippines. The venture with WPT was launched during 2025 with the objective of developing and distributing gaming system platforms and related content across the Asia-Pacific region.

In June 2026, Century Entertainment announced the rollout of a new online gaming platform at seven gaming venues in the Philippines under the latest phase of the joint venture. Shortly afterward, PAGCOR informed industry media that WPT was no longer an accredited Gaming System Administrator because its accreditation had been revoked in April.

At the time, Century Entertainment’s public disclosures did not clarify whether the company had already been notified of the cancellation. A June 25 announcement continued to describe WPT as a PAGCOR-accredited service provider and referenced its licensed platform. The newly released annual report provides the first detailed timeline of events, including the April notification and the steps taken to maintain regulatory compliance through other accredited entities.

Financially, the company’s Philippine gaming activities generated significant growth during the reporting period.

Century Entertainment reported total revenue of HK$30.3 million for the year ended March 31, 2026, compared with no revenue in the previous year. Of that amount, HK$23.7 million came from the online gaming platform business, while the remainder was generated through sales of camellia oil products.

The group recorded a profit of HK$8.6 million, a substantial improvement from the HK$45.7 million loss reported a year earlier. The annual result was also supported by a reversal of impairment losses relating to receivables and deposits.

Performance accelerated after the end of the financial year. Century Entertainment disclosed unaudited Phase 4 revenue of HK$53.9 million for the April-to-June 2026 period, exceeding the revenue generated by the online gaming business during the entire preceding financial year.

Trading Resumption Efforts Continue

The publication of the annual report represents an important milestone in Century Entertainment’s efforts to restore trading in its shares, which have been suspended since June 26, 2025.

The suspension followed concerns raised by the company’s auditor regarding the recoverability of receivables and the firm’s ability to continue operating after the collapse of its Cambodian gaming business.

To satisfy exchange requirements for the resumption of trading, Century Entertainment has been working to publish outstanding financial results, address audit-related issues and complete an independent review of its internal control systems.

The company indicated that the growth of its Philippine online gaming venture forms a key part of its restructuring strategy as it seeks to move beyond the challenges that led to the suspension and establish a sustainable operating model in a new market.
