Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd. opened the doors of City of Dreams Manila in Entertainment City, Paranaque, with a soft launch today of their newest integrated resort super casino. It is the second property to open in the burgeoning Asian entertain hub in Manila, following Solaire Resort & Casino which opened on March 16, 2013. Although almost everything is up and running, visitors today didn’t experience the fanfare and pageantry they can expect when the official Grand Opening occurs early next year. Reports suggest the big day will come in February before Chinese New Year.
Today’s visitors were able to enter the city of gold and receive free memberships to the property from Dream Rewards counters. Those who had applied online simply had to pick up their cards after showing government ID proving their identity and age as being over 21. Several food and beverage outlets were busy from the 3pm opening on and at least one of the hotel towers was accepting guests. Free shuttle service was available and the Dreams in Motion shuttle service will continue to be free of charge, transporting guests from multiple points around the metro. Dress code is “smart casual”, so please do not plan on entering the casino or gaming areas with a sleeveless shirt, hoody, or any garments that may obstruct your face or identity.
City of Dreams Manila is one of many world class properties in Asia developed by Melco Crown including City of Dreams Macau on the Cotai Strip, one of the world’s premiere integrated resorts. At full build out visitors can expect to enjoy 6 hotel towers, upscale restaurants, bars, and lounges, a family entertainment center, and myriad shopping opportunities. Thanks to PAGCOR relaxing gaming rules for the Entertainment City venues, you can play on over 300 gaming tables and over 1,500 slots and gaming machines allocated between four casinos on the City of Dreams property from mass gaming bright lights to VIP salons.
