The building site for the MGM Casino Cotai  was the location of a fatal accident last week as a Mainland Chinese worker was hit by a concrete pump on the site. While receiving medical treatment, the worker passed away. MGM China Holdings Ltd extended their deepest sympathies to the family of the deceased worker.

Site safety is a main concern and the construction contractor states they will strive to enhance all safety procedures and occupational health procedures to offer the safest possible work environment.

It is being questioned whether a government bureau had ordered a halt to construction at the time of the accident, but the company has not replied to the inquiry at this time.
