The Cherokee Nation tribe built the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa in Catoosa, Oklahoma back in 2004 for an estimated $80 million. The operation was a success and the tribe decided to expand the facility in 2009 by adding a convention center and a hotel tower with expensive suites catering to VIP clientele. The cost of the expansion was estimated to be around $125 million. Now, five years later, the business arm of the Cherokee Nation tribe has agreed to spend an additional $6.9 million to renovate the casino. The renovation will start in May and will be rolled out in three phases and is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.
