Lauding it as a “household name in iGaming,” real-money game production company, Spearhead Studios, has partnered with British online gaming software supplier Playtech plc (PTEC:London) in a deal that will make its games portfolio available to the UK firm’s industry-leading content providers.
Under the agreement, the London-listed technology company will integrate the real-money game production studio’s high-quality HTML5 video slots, enabling its extensive network of clients to access the titles via the Playtech Games Marketplace platform, which earlier this year welcomed Swedish game studio, Quickspin, and Australian online casino software developer, Eyecon.
Enhanced offering:
Commenting on the tie-up, Casino Director for Playtech, James Frendo said the company focuses on providing its partners with world-class casino software and explained that…
“Integrating Spearhead Studios’ content into our burgeoning portfolio is another step in supporting our partners in delivering the best possible casino experience to their players.”
Launched by EveryMatrix in 2018, the Marbella-headquartered studio, which creates its games via the company’s remote gaming server, RGS Matrix, has since its founding unveiled 35+ slots and table games within its portfolio, including popular titles such as Blue Diamond Book, Book of the Princess, and Book of Souls II: El Dorado, the sequel to its best-performing title in 2019, which stars British archeologist turned treasure hunter, Lara Jones. The premium titles are available in more than 13 gaming jurisdictions across Europe and Latin America, including the UK market, courtesy of the Gambling Commission.
Beneficial partnership:
Also commenting on the integration deal, Managing Director for Spearhead Studios, Mathias Larsson said in a company press release…
“Playtech is a household name in iGaming with an extensive network of clients in all major regulated jurisdictions around the globe. Making our content available on Playtech Games Marketplace is a statement of our quality content, and we’re very excited to start this partnership.”
Video poker add:
Adding to its fast-growing portfolio, Spearhead Studios has also launched its very first video poker title, Jacks or Better, which is based on the classic poker game’s paytable where a pair of jacks, queens, kings, or aces card values pays out.
The new fast-paced game allows poker enthusiasts to choose to play with 5, 10, 25, 50, or a ridiculous 100 hands and win up to €400,000 (for bets of €5 per hand). After players are dealt the initial hand, they can choose to keep up to all five cards, which would then be duplicated on all of their other hands.
Mobile optimized:
Like all of the studio’s titles, the new video poker product, which offers a blended 99.54 percent RTP (return to player), is optimized for mobile-portrait use and features a seamless user experience (UX) for on-the-go gameplay.
Spearhead Studio’s Game Development Director, Kevin Corti used a company presser to comment on the new game…
“In aiming to offer players the chance to play with up to 100 hands, you can imagine that we set our designers a tough task, especially for mobile gameplay. As always, they achieved it, and I am delighted to say that the game is completely engaging.”
The Spanish games development studio is expected to release the futuristic-themed video slot, Cyber Hunter 2080, on April 27th, via its RGS Matrix partnership with FunFair Technologies. The 5-reel, 3-row, and 20 payline title is packed with features, including wilds, extra spins, scatters, bonus games and more, with a top payout of 2,500x the stake.
