DigiPlus Interactive Corp., the Philippine company behind BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone, is preparing for its first overseas expansion with the launch of GamePlus in Brazil. Operations will commence on September 22, marking a milestone in the group’s strategy to broaden its reach beyond Asia and establish itself in Latin America’s rapidly growing iGaming sector.

First Step in Global Expansion

The company, listed in the Philippines, has chosen Brazil as the starting point for its international operations. Brazil’s regulated gambling framework and strong demand for online betting have made it one of the most attractive new markets worldwide. Official data shows that the sector generated around US$3.2 billion in gross gaming revenue during the first half of 2025.

“This milestone marks the company’s first major international expansion and solidifies its position as a global leader in the industry,” DigiPlus said in its announcement.

Chairman Eusebio H. Tanco explained, “We are incredibly excited to launch our first brand in Brazil this September. Our entry into this dynamic market is the culmination of a global-first mindset, strong collaboration between our teams, and an unwavering commitment to responsible gaming operations. We are not just bringing a platform to Brazil; we are bringing a new standard of safe digital entertainment.”

The initial launch will be through GamePlus, a brand positioned as DigiPlus’ international flagship, with BingoPlus scheduled to follow in 2026.

GamePlus Tailored for Brazilian Players

GamePlus will open with a portfolio of more than 150 titles, covering both free-to-play and real-money formats. DigiPlus Brazil Country Manager Graham Tidey described the brand as designed to offer “simple, fun entertainment” while also appealing directly to Brazilian culture.

“GamePlus will launch with a catalogue featuring over 150 of Brazil’s top games — both in free-to-play and real-money versions — and will soon add exclusive content inspired by local folklore, casual games, and sports, ensuring a culturally resonant experience,” Tidey said in the company’s press release.

Beyond the gaming catalogue, the company is focused on building a strong local workforce. Tanco emphasized that the company had “worked diligently” to create a platform “that is not only robust and secure but also culturally resonant.” He added, “We are committed to fostering a strong local talent base and ensuring our offerings are perfectly tailored for Brazilian players, from our exclusive games to our player protection measures.”

DigiPlus has secured a federal license through its subsidiary DigiPlus Brazil Interactive Ltda., authorizing it to offer online and land-based sports betting, electronic games, live game studios, and fixed-odds betting in Brazil. The company views Brazil’s strict compliance environment as a chance to distinguish its services by prioritizing transparency, player safety, and responsible gaming.

Locally, DigiPlus has faced scrutiny as Philippine lawmakers examine the social costs of gambling. The company, however, continues to post strong financial results. In the first half of 2025, DigiPlus reported PHP47.8 billion (US$838 million) in revenues, a 46.7 percent increase year-on-year, with net income reaching PHP8.4 billion (US$147 million), up 61 percent. EBITDA for the period rose 65 percent to PHP9.1 billion (US$160 million).
