Hard Rock Bet has officially entered Michigan’s online gaming market, bringing its sportsbook and online casino services to the state. The launch is a significant step for the Seminole Hard Rock Digital brand, marking its entry into its 10th sports betting market and the second state where it offers iGaming. This expansion is supported by a partnership with the Hannahville Indian Community, operators of the Island Resort & Casino in Harris, Michigan.

Strategic Expansion for Hard Rock Bet

This launch builds on Hard Rock Bet’s growing presence across the United States, following similar expansions in states like Colorado and New Jersey. Michigan’s online market now includes 12 sportsbooks, with Hard Rock Bet filling the slot previously held by evoke, formerly 888 Holdings, after the latter exited the state earlier this year.

“We are thrilled to bring the Hard Rock experience to Michigan,” said Marlon Goldstein, Executive Managing Director and CEO of Hard Rock Digital, in Hard Rock Bet’s press release. “This launch strengthens our position as one of the fastest-growing digital gaming brands in the U.S. and expands our platform to one of the largest online sports betting markets in the country.”

Players in Michigan now have access to Hard Rock Bet’s array of offerings, which includes thousands of online slot games, an in-house progressive jackpot engine, live dealer games, and exclusive Hard Rock-branded experiences. Additionally, the Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook provides a wide range of betting options, including parlay wagering on major sports events.

The platform also integrates the brand’s Unity loyalty program, offering players the opportunity to earn and redeem rewards across various Hard Rock locations globally. Hard Rock Bet’s seamless integration with the Unity loyalty program provides Michigan residents with a top-tier experience, combining entertainment with valuable rewards.

Marketing Campaign to Raise Awareness

To mark its debut in Michigan, Hard Rock Bet is launching a comprehensive marketing campaign across TV, radio, digital channels, and out-of-home placements. The campaign will leverage the brand’s iconic image, showcasing its commitment to transparency, customer service, and legendary rewards.

The company’s expansion is also a win for Michigan’s gaming scene, as the state continues to experience growth in its online gaming revenue. For instance, in October, Michigan’s online sports betting and iGaming revenues reached new heights, with a 39% increase year-over-year, setting a state record at $352.3 million.

The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) provided the necessary approval for Hard Rock Bet’s entry into the state, confirming its commitment to upholding the state’s high standards of regulatory compliance and consumer protection. According to MGCB Executive Director Henry Williams, “This approval reflects our continued focus on maintaining integrity, transparency, and consumer protection in Michigan’s online gaming and sports betting space.”

Hard Rock Bet now joins other top sportsbooks in Michigan, including BetMGM, Caesars, DraftKings, and FanDuel.
