The M Resort Spa Casino in Las Vegas marked a major milestone this week with the debut of its new hotel tower, part of an expansion that significantly increases the property’s room inventory and event capabilities. The addition was delivered ahead of schedule and on budget, creating new capacity for both leisure and group guests as the resort approaches a busy stretch of Las Vegas events.
Expanded Room Capacity and New Event Facilities
With the opening of the East Tower, the resort now offers 765 rooms and suites. The new 375-room tower nearly doubles the property’s lodging capacity, contributing a sizable boost ahead of high-traffic periods such as the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, New Year’s Eve, and CES. The overall expansion is valued at $206 million.
The Montese Ballroom, a 15,000-square-foot venue that opened in October 2025, brings the resort’s combined indoor and outdoor meeting and event footprint to more than 100,000 square feet. Alongside the event facilities, the resort completed a full renovation of the casino floor, refreshed the table games pit, and introduced a redesigned high-limit table games room.
PENN Entertainment expects the larger footprint to create 120 new jobs at the property. The company also highlighted its commitment to expanding guest offerings through continued investment across its portfolio.
A public grand opening ceremony is set for Wednesday, December 3, beginning at 6:00 PM PST. The celebration will feature special guests, dignitaries, a drone show, and musical entertainment. The property will host the event on its outdoor patio, which was recently updated as part of the expansion. Fireworks are scheduled for 6:15 PM, and the festivities include additional entertainment for attendees.
In a ribbon-cutting ceremony held prior to the public event, PENN President and CEO Jay Snowden joined M Resort executives and local officials to mark the completion of the tower. Snowden addressed the audience, including long-time employees who have been with the resort since opening day.
“We’re thrilled to officially open the new tower at our market-leading M Resort property, which significantly expands our capacity to host guests and group business,” Snowden said, as stated on the company’s webste. “This growth project highlights the strength of our retail operation and our commitment to evolving the guest experience with best-in-class entertainment and hospitality options.”
Snowden also recognized the resort’s connection to major sports organizations. M Resort is branded as the Official Team Headquarters Hotel of the Las Vegas Raiders, and he referred to the positive momentum brought by the Raiders and the Vegas Golden Knights.
Part of a Larger PENN Development Strategy
The tower is the second of several major PENN Entertainment expansion projects. Earlier in the year, the company opened the new Hollywood Casino Joliet in Illinois. Additional developments remain on schedule, including a new land-based Hollywood Casino Aurora and a hotel tower at Hollywood Casino Columbus, both planned for late in the second quarter of 2026. The relocation of Hollywood Casino Council Bluffs is anticipated in late 2027 or early 2028.
PENN received $150 million in funding from Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. in November 2025 to support the M Resort project. The resort’s operating profile also continues to grow through PENN Play, the company’s customer loyalty program with more than 33 million members.
Bookings for the new East Tower are now open, giving visitors access to renovated suites featuring sitting areas, coffee bars, king-size bedrooms, and walk-in showers. The resort is preparing for a full month of December programming, including concerts, shows, and watch parties.
