Officials of the Minnesota Lottery are preparing to suspend vendor contracts which will eliminate the ATM games and gas pump games in the state. The contracts will not be renewed after the end of the month, with lottery tickets at the gas pumps and the ATMs to be shut down on August 29th. Online sales of the same will cease on the 31st of August.
According to the Minnesota Public Radio News, it has not been made clear as to how much the cost will be to end the vendor contracts. Scientific Games and Linq3 are two primary vendors in the state, which should be entitled to a minimum of $12 million in damages based on the estimates provided by lottery officials.
