Currently under construction in Schenectady, New York, the Rivers Casino & Resort will soon be in search of vendors for supply items needed for the daily operations of the gaming facility. Developers are spending $330 million to create the new casino and want to work with vendors that are women or minority owned.
On the 24th of June, the casino will be hosting a matchmaking event of sorts to be able to view samples or view a brochure of supplies that vendors can offer the venue. The event will take place in Rotterdam in the Mallozzi’s Banquet & Ballroom. Purchasing Management International LP will be hosting the event.
Vendors who are interested in working with the casino can register beginning at 10 am, with the event starting just 30 minutes later. Registration can be done online at the Rivers Casino Resort website, found at the following link: www.riverscasinocandresort.com/pmi-vendors/.
Rivers Casino is looking to work with women as well as minority business owners with several items needed including art and accessories, light fixtures, wooden furniture, seating, novelty items connected to the local area as well as the fabrication of bedding and drapery.
Back in April, the casino hosted a workshop that detailed how the process for contracting vendors would take place as the venue prepares to open during early 2017.
