The SugarHouse Casino of Philadelphia is planning on adding 500 full-time jobs to the property and to do so, is planning a job fair. The job fair will take place several times this month, with different venues hosting the career event. The $164 million expansion of the casino is almost complete and the venue needs to fill in staff positions to be ready for the grand opening.
The casino is planning on hiring positions in the food and beverage section of the expansion as well as casino operations, facilities, slots, marking, cashiering and environmental services. The first career fair is set for this weekend, on October 3rd at Macy’s Court at the Cherry Hill Mall. The fair will last from 10 am until 5pm.
A second career fair will be hosted on October 13th by the Pennsylvania Convention Center from 10 am until 2 pm. The final option for individuals looking for employment comes on October 27th at the Community College of Philadelphia’s Winnet Student Life Building. This fair will last from 3pm to 7pm.
With the multi-million dollar expansion, the actual space of the casino facility will almost double in size. The new area will include a poker room which will include 30 tables, four restaurants featuring waterfront views, parking garage and event space.
