Yesterday saw Macau VIP junket firm Tak Chun Group officially open an operation inside the Studio City Casino Macau featuring a range of nine gaming tables spread across four rooms encompassing some 10,760 sq ft of space.

According to a report from Asia Gaming Brief, Tak Chun Group has become the first junket operator to launch a VIP service inside the $2 billion development opened last year and owned by Hong Kong-listed Melco International Development Limited via its Melco Crown Entertainment Limited joint venture with Australian firm Crown Resorts Limited.

Tak Chun Group reportedly declared that the new operation has been christened the Studio City Tak Chun VIP Club and it now intends to continue focusing on establishing similar ventures in five-star hotels and resorts throughout Taipa and the Cotai Strip in order to “actively renew the group’s visibility, market position and premium services”.

“With this new VIP operation, the group now operates 15 VIP clubs including 13 in Macau and two overseas with over 200 gaming tables,” read a statement from Levo Chan, Chief Executive Officer for Tak Chun Group.

Melco Crown Entertainment Limited announced three weeks ago that two-thirds of the 33 VIP tables set for its Studio City Casino Macau property would be allocated to junket operators Tak Chun Group and Suncity Group while the former has moreover recently premiered 15 tables at the August-launched Wynn Palace Cotai as well as nine for high-rollers in the even newer The Parisian Macao.
