In Iowa, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City suffered from technology issues over the weekend which resulted in a temporary shutdown of a section of the gaming venue.

Hard Rock issued a statement in the matter which reported that the gaming floor of the casino was subject to an interruption of the information technology system just after 1 pm on Saturday. According to Iowa gaming law, the information technology systems of the casino must be fully functional for the casino gaming floor to be in operation. It would take several hours before the system was up and running again, with operations resuming at 12:25 am on Sunday.

The exact problem has yet to be revealed but we do know that patrons were asked to leave the gaming floor once the tech issue started, leaving the tables and slot machines vacant for around 12 hours. The hotel and restaurants were able to continue functioning as normal.
