William Hill’s US division has improved its portfolio with two additional Nevada sportsbooks and strengthened its presence in the state. The UK bookmaker signed a long-term deal this Monday with American gaming operator Eldorado Resorts, which puts the company in charge of the operations of the race and sportsbooks at two Reno resorts – Circus Hotel Casino Reno and Silver Legacy Resort Casino.
It should be noted, however, that this isn’t the parties’ first collaboration. In fact, Will Hill has been operating the sportsbook of Eldorado Resort Casino ever since 2012. According to the operator’s statement, Circus Circus sportsbook will have a major makeover, whereas Silver Legacy will get a brand new 7,200 square-foot sportsbook that should be ready before the 2016 NFL season begins.
Some of the amenities and features planned for the latest addition of the casino include a top notch video wall technology for viewing sport events, a new sports bar and live in-play betting odds. Furthermore, there is going to be a jumbo HD video wall, which will provide a panoramic viewing experience. The Circus Circus Reno upgrade, on the other hand, involves big screen TVs for enhanced viewing experience as well as a new sports bar.
Joe Asher, William Hill US CEO, expressed thrill to expand the company’s partnership with Eldorado Resorts and the Carano family. Asher pointed out that the Caranos “have always created best-in-class experiences” for customers and that William Hill was looking forward to investing in their gaming properties.
Sportsbooks in Nevada have been working really well lately and 2015 was the third year in a row that recorded extremely high revenues. This year started promising too with new monthly betting handle records. The situation is so positive that operators dared to project total wagering handle of $5 billion for 2016, a number more than two times higher than the amount noted ten years ago.
