With the 2025 World Series of Poker fast approaching, the WSOP has introduced a major innovation aimed at transforming the way players experience the tournament. The newly launched WSOP+ mobile app is now available for iOS and Android users, enabling participants to register for events, manage tournament information, and significantly reduce the time spent waiting in line at the venue.

Unveiled just weeks before the series opens on May 27, the WSOP+ app serves as a centralized platform offering a range of functionalities tailored to enhance convenience. By allowing users to pre-register for events and join virtual queues, the app replaces the need for players to physically stand in late registration lines, which have long been a source of frustration during peak hours.

“This is more than just convenience,” emphasized Jack Effel, Senior Vice President of Poker Operations at Caesars Entertainment. “It’s a shift toward a smoother, smarter WSOP experience that gets players where they want to be—at the table, playing poker.”

Streamlined Access and Seamless Event Management

Once players download WSOP+ from WSOPPlus.com, they are encouraged to review the registration steps on the WSOP website. The app is designed to work seamlessly with iOS and Android smartphones, functioning as a one-stop destination for essential event details, including structure sheets, seating assignments, chip counts, and prize payouts.

“WSOP+ will further elevate the WSOP experience for all of our players,” said Ty Stewart, CEO of the World Series of Poker. “Not only can our community now save time and effort by registering in advance for their favorite tournaments, but the app will also showcase WSOP content and all of the important event information that participants are eager to have at their fingertips!”

Players can expect real-time seat availability updates through push notifications, thanks to a virtual waiting list that assigns seats in the order of registration. The app also offers access to tournament rules, daily results, and curated content throughout the WSOP schedule.

Pre-Registration, Verification, and Payment Options

Participants must complete a one-time, in-person identification check at the Champagne Ballroom inside “Les Centre Des Conventions” at Paris Las Vegas to activate online registration. Valid forms of identification include passports, state-issued IDs, and military IDs. Non-U.S. players may use consular IDs or foreign government-issued licenses, with additional proof of address required if not stated on the ID.

After verification, users can register for events directly through the app and proceed to their tables without visiting the registration cage. In-person registration at Paris Las Vegas begins on May 15 for those preferring a traditional approach.

The WSOP+ app also supports a broad range of payment methods, including ACH (for U.S. users), PayPal, Luxon Pay (for international participants), credit cards (with a 3% processing fee), WSOP Online satellite entries, and in-person funded Paris Tournament Accounts. Cash, casino chips, approved cashier’s checks, and high-value wire transfers (minimum $100,000) are accepted for in-person transactions.

Looking Ahead: WSOP 2025 Launches with Major Events

This year’s WSOP returns for its fourth consecutive run on the Las Vegas Strip, jointly hosted by Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas. The 2025 series opens with Event #1, Mystery Millions, on May 27. Featuring five starting flights, the event offers a guaranteed $1 million bounty and a minimum $1 million first-place prize.

The festival will award 100 gold bracelets over its duration, culminating with the iconic WSOP Main Event, beginning July 2 and concluding July 16. Players can currently qualify through satellite tournaments both online and in live settings. International participants can secure entry via GGPoker, while U.S. players have access through WSOP Online qualifiers.

Expanded Online Play with WSOP Online

In parallel with the launch of WSOP+, Caesars Entertainment has also debuted the new WSOP Online platform. This upgrade merges player pools from Nevada, New Jersey, and Michigan, setting a milestone as the first U.S. poker operator to unite players across three states. WSOP Online now features enhanced gameplay, mobile compatibility for up to four tables, and a broader slate of tournaments and promotions.

Beginning June 1, the WSOP Online series will host 30 online bracelet events, with opportunities available every Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday. The online slate includes notable events like the $333 Triple Treys and the $10,000 WSOP Online Championship on July 11, along with daily qualifiers and mega-satellites awarding Main Event seats.

Danielle Barille, Vice President of Online Poker at Caesars Digital, highlighted the platform’s significance: “The best is yet to come for WSOP Online tournaments, and we’re thrilled to bring Michigan players into the fold…resulting in a better experience, more value, and the biggest prize pools of the year.”
