The Baltimore Orioles have entered into a new agreement with PureWager Group, naming the company as the franchise’s exclusive sports betting partner. The deal represents PureWager’s first formal step into the United States market and introduces a new in-stadium experience tied to the partnership.
New Ballpark Space Anchors Partnership
As part of the arrangement, PureWager becomes the title sponsor of a newly developed hospitality area at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The venue, known as the PureWager Pavilion, sits beneath the ballpark’s center-field scoreboard and has been designed as a social gathering space for fans.
The collaboration links a Major League Baseball team with a company preparing to establish a presence in regulated U.S. gaming markets. It also reflects a broader trend of integrating betting-related brands into live sports environments.
“We’re honored PureWager Group chose to join forces with the Orioles as they break into the U.S. market, and we know that this will be the start of a bright future for them in sports betting on this side of the pond,” said Don Rovak, the club’s Chief Revenue Officer.
The PureWager Pavilion was developed during the 2025 season and is positioned as a flexible space for both group bookings and general admission during games. The area includes a covered patio, views of center field, and access to a private bar, offering a setting intended for social interaction around live baseball events.
The space accommodates up to 300 guests for private events. When not reserved, it remains open to the public, allowing fans to gather in a dedicated area within the stadium.
“We’re confident our fans are going to enjoy the PureWager Pavilion, and it will quickly become a destination where both individual fans and large groups come together to enjoy a game at one of the most iconic ballparks in baseball,” Rovak added.
The Orioles have hosted games at Camden Yards since 1992, and the addition of the Pavilion expands the range of hospitality options available to visitors.
For PureWager, the agreement serves as a platform for entering a competitive and regulated environment. The company has described the partnership as a key milestone tied to its broader expansion plans.
“Partnering with the Baltimore Orioles represents a defining moment for PureWager,” said CEO Elliott Banks. “Our goal is to enhance the fan experience responsibly, using our technology and operational expertise to create engaging, community-first entertainment that complements the game we all love.”
The company is preparing to introduce its proprietary sportsbook and online casino platform across multiple jurisdictions. Michigan has been identified as one of the initial targets, with further expansion planned in additional states.
PureWager has also secured an exclusive online gaming license with the Odawa Indian Tribe and established several strategic relationships aimed at supporting its rollout. These include partnerships with BoscaSports for sportsbook and kiosk technology, as well as an agreement with SCCG Management focused on licensing and market development.
Strategy Focused on Engagement and Compliance
PureWager’s approach to the U.S. market differs from operators that have already established a strong national presence. Rather than prioritizing large-scale deployment from the outset, the company is focusing on building connections with sports audiences through venue-based experiences.
“Maryland represents a highly structured, competitive, and well-regulated environment – exactly the type of market we want to anchor our business in. Rather than attempting to outspend incumbents, we focus on differentiated access and deeper fan engagement,” Banks said.
He also pointed to the value of linking the brand directly to a team’s fan base. “The Orioles relationship gives us a direct connection to a loyal, high-value fan base and allows us to embed our product into the live sports experience from day one […] We’re building a flagship presence in Maryland that demonstrates how PureWager can operate compliantly, responsibly, and profitably in a mature US market.”
The company has indicated that compliance remains central to its expansion. Banks stated that market selection will prioritize jurisdictions with clear regulatory frameworks and sustainable operating conditions.
“Alongside this, we work closely with tribal partners under sovereign frameworks, where there is an opportunity to deliver fully integrated technology and operational support,” he said. “Compliance isn’t a constraint for us; it’s a core part of the product architecture.”
He added that payment systems and new technologies will be introduced cautiously. “While we understand emerging technologies, our approach is disciplined. We will only introduce new payment innovations when they meet regulatory standards and enhance the customer experience without adding risk.”
PureWager’s entry comes at a time when the U.S. sports betting market includes established operators with significant market share and brand recognition. Companies such as FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM already operate across multiple states.
Against that backdrop, the Orioles partnership provides a point of entry focused on visibility and fan interaction rather than immediate scale.
The company has described its platform as being built around engagement and retention, with features aimed at delivering interactive experiences alongside traditional betting functionality.
“We’re not just offering odds—we’re building a more immersive, interactive sports experience that extends beyond the bet itself,” Banks said, as published on MLB’s website.
The long-term impact of the partnership will depend on how effectively PureWager can convert its presence at Camden Yards into broader market access and operational rollout.
