Platipus has confirmed plans to run a Network Tournament Series in 2026 that spreads competition across five separate events instead of concentrating everything into one extended tournament. Each stage runs for three days and comes with its own €25,000 prize pool, bringing the total prize money for the series to €125,000.
Every stage operates independently, meaning players start fresh each time with a new leaderboard and a full set of prizes. The first tournament is scheduled for January 29–31 and features Santa’s Bag. That is followed by Pirate’s Legacy from February 5–7. The remaining stages take place later in the year, with Catch the Leprechaun running from April 30 to May 2, Jackpot Lab from June 4–6, and Pirate’s Map from September 17–19.
Because the stages are spread out across the year, players can choose when to take part without needing to commit to the entire series. Skipping one stage has no impact on the next, as each event stands on its own.
Games Included In Each Tournament Stage
Each stage is built around one main Platipus release linked to the tournament dates, but scoring is not limited to a single title. Players can also earn points by playing Wild Spin, Wild Spin Deluxe, Wild Crowns, and 7 & Hot Fruits. These games appear across all five stages, while the featured slot changes from one tournament to the next.
Only bets placed on the listed tournament games count toward the leaderboard. There is no separate sign-up process beyond playing the eligible slots, and leaderboard standings update automatically, usually once per minute.
How The Points System Works
Leaderboard positions are determined by a points system that combines wins and multipliers. Each x2 multiplier achieved during play is worth one point. Winnings are counted separately, with every €1 win adding two points to the total score.
The tournament rules provide an example to explain the system. A €1 wager that results in a €6 win produces an x6 multiplier. That outcome earns three points from the multiplier and twelve points from the win, which are then added together.
All scores are calculated in euros. If a player wagers in another currency, the amount is converted into euros using the casino’s exchange rate at the time of play. When two or more players finish with the same score, the player who reached that score first is ranked higher.
Entry Requirements And Prize Distribution
The minimum bet to participate is €0.20 per spin, or the equivalent in other currencies. Only real-money bets qualify, and bonus funds cannot be used in the tournament.
Each stage pays prizes to 150 players. First place receives €5,000, followed by €3,000 for second and €1,500 for third. Prize amounts continue down the leaderboard, with players finishing between 101st and 150th place each receiving €10.
Participation is limited to players of legal age with verified casino accounts. The rules state that malfunctions void all bets and play, and that the provider and participating casinos may suspend or cancel the tournament in exceptional circumstances. If different language versions of the rules conflict, the English version applies.
By splitting the competition into five shorter stages, the 2026 Platipus Network Tournament Series gives players multiple chances during the year to compete for prizes. Each stage has fixed dates, a defined set of games, and a full prize pool, making it easy to join when the timing works and still compete for meaningful payouts.
