The Parx Casino, located in Bensalem, Pennsylvania is preparing for a major renovation. The gaming venue announced this week that $50 million will be spent on an expansion that will see two restaurants added to the property along with a concert hall and new poker room.
With the changes, the gaming venue will be able to bring new employment to the Bucks County region, with more than 200 full-time jobs created. The expansion project is expected to be completed by winter either late this year or early next year.
The new expansion space will be 45,000 square feet in total and will include the Xcite Center, a new concert hall. The new venue is being created to bring new acts to the area. The space will also include a new poker room for the Parx Casino along with a new VIP poker enclave.
The casino also stated that Lombardi’s will be opening a second location on-site along with the addition of the Liberty Bell Gastropub, the second restaurant included in the expansion plans. With this new restaurant, guests can expect to enjoy a menu full of locally sourced items.
