The 2022 World Series of Poker kicked off its 53rd tournament series on May 31 and players traveled to Bally’s and the Paris Las Vegas to compete in various events. The schedule is full of events, with tournaments finishing up almost every day and new events kicking off. Several players recently won gold bracelets by outlasting their competitors; even more, events are yet to come, including the Main Event. Check out a few of the winners below along with details regarding the upcoming schedule.
Recent WSOP Gold Bracelet Winners
Let’s take a look at a few of the most recent WSOP winners. Event #49 saw 1,977 players competing with only seven players making it to the final day. In the end, it was Simeon Spasov who defeated Mike Watson in a heads-up play to win just over $520,000 in prize money plus the gold bracelet.
Event #52 also finished up with online player KT Park coming out victorious. The event saw 456 players competing in the $2,500 Nin Game Mix 6-Handed tournament. Park landed his first WSOP bracelet with the win.
Online events are also part of the WSOP schedule. The most recent online tournament to finish up was the Online $600 Deepstack Championship. A total of 1,284 players bought in to compete and it was William Corvino who emerged victorious. He won $149,319 out of the just over $930,000 in total prize money.
Upcoming Events
Today, event #59 begins, a $1,000 Super Seniors affair offering no-limit hold’em gaming. Players will receive 20,000 in starting chips and must be 60 or older to take part. Blind levels will increase every 60 minutes and registration will close at level eight.
On Wednesday, Event #61 begins, a Ladies No-Limit Hold’em Championship with a $1,000 buy-in. This event will also have 20,000 chips as a starting stack and 60-minute blinds. There is one reentry allowed per player.
Fast forward to Friday, July 1 and players can compete in Event #66, the $1,000 MINI Main Event no-limit hold’em tournament. Registration closes at level 12 and players are given 60,000 in starting chips.
For players looking to take part in the Main Event, it starts on Sunday, July 3. There are several opening flights and the buy-in is, of course, $10,000. Blind levels increase every 120 minutes during the first flights and 60,000 starting stacks are provided to each player.
