It’s time for more summer online poker gaming as partypoker has just announced the launch of Grand Prix KO Summer Edition. The series began on August 11 and will continue through the 29, offering players plenty of gaming options. Take part in several different events with satellites on offer too, starting at just $0.01 and running daily.
Details of Grand Prix KO Summer Edition
The special KO edition of the Grand Prix will offer 14 numbered tournaments, each featuring the progressive knockout format. Buy-ins will start at a low $5.50, making the series affordable for all online poker players. The max buy-in is $320. In total, the events will offer close to $2 million in prize money.
The partypoker series will kick off with the Opener, a $33 buy-in event with a $75,000 prize pool. The Mini Opener is also on the table, offering a smaller $3.30 buy-in and a $15,000 prize pool. The series offers a regular event and a mini option so players of all bankrolls can participate.
Event #3 is a 6-Max Championship with a $215 buy-in and $200,000 in total prize money. Play in the mini version with just $22 upfront with $75,000 up for grabs. Players who want to participate in the Main Event can do so for $109, and the prize pool will be the largest of the series at $500,000. The Mini Main offers plenty of value too, with an $11 buy-in and $100,000 in total prize money.
There are two high roller events also on the schedule. The 7-Max High Roller is Event #7 on the schedule, and it features $250,000 in prize money with a $320 buy-in. Pay the same to compete in Event #12, a 6-Max High Roller tournament with $200,000 in total prize money.
Each event has several starting flights, making it more convenient for players to compete. The day 1 section will end once only 15% of the total field remains in play.
Special Edition SPINS
During the Grand Prix KO Summer Edition, partypoker will offer special SPINS tournaments with seats to events in the series. Players can compete in the SPINS with $10 buy-ins and a 6% rake. Players can access games with a $20 cash prize or ones offering a $33 GP KO Ticket. There are also chances to win tickets worth $55, $109, $215, and $320.
Of course, the higher the ticket value, the more difficult it is to score. The probability of being seated at a table with a $320 poker tournament ticket is 1250 out of 1 million games. It may be a long shot, but the SPINS are a fun way to enjoy online poker and have a chance to win a ticket to a Grand Prix event.
