Galaxy Entertainment, the parent company of Galaxy Casino S.A., has revealed that it will officially open its newest hotel, Andaz Macau, on September 15 of this year. In addition, the said hotel, which is a Hyatt brand, is part of the new Galaxy International Convention Center located in Galaxy Macau and is the latest addition to the 28 Andaz hotels placed across the globe.
The layout of the Andaz Macau:
As soon as it opens, Andaz Macau will already break the record as the biggest Andaz hotel in the world as it is equipped with over 700 suites and rooms. Also, its main target is business and leisure clients and will officially become “the eighth hospitality brand within Galaxy Macau, forming part of the integrated resort’s expansive Phase 3 development.”
As for what makes the hotel beautiful, it’s one-of-a-kind features such as a signature lounge, a 24-hour innovative fitness center, a heated 19-meter indoor pool and a a dedicated check-in lounge for big MICE groups, in compliance with details revealed to the public by Galaxy Entertainment on Thursday, August 10. The aforementioned Andaz lounge will offer much-needed area for MIE guests to relax, while the Andaz Bar will provide unique cocktails uniquely mixed by a mixologist, as well as craft beer brewed by a local brewery. In this regard, the company also offered a first look at the hotel’s interior design, describing it as “representative of nearby Old Taipa but expressed in a contemporary context, featuring elements of traditional Macau and the opportunity to learn about the city’s history and culture as guests explore different spaces and encounter various art pieces throughout the hotel.”
Unique features:
The various artworks mentioned above will include “Juxtapose,” which is a series of steel sculptures made by Tang Mun Kian, a famous artist from Malasyia, which honors the architecture of the old city, local people’s opinions and unique landmarks. However, as for the numerous artifacts that will also be part of the hotel, among them will be intricately embroidered “Enchanted Mountains” and “Golden Phoenix” fashion dresses. In addition to all that, the hotel will also contain one-of-a-kind ancient vases, various paintings and glass sculptures.
However, in addition to the aforementioned works of art, the hotel also boasts the “Macau Steps,“ a unique staircase that will disclose stories about the city’s history as well as its present via over 100 videos that produce a charming multisensory experience. Also, F&B will involve 24 -hour dining at the Andaz Kitchen, which will serve Western, Chinese and Portuguese cuisine in an area influenced by Macau’s legendary stores, and the linked Andaz studio has been created for up to 80 customers and will provide innovative experiences like master chef cooking classes.
