Evolution has officially launched its first live casino studio in Asia, selecting Cebu, Philippines, as the hub for this new venture. The opening represents a major strategic development for Evolution, which has steadily been expanding across global regulated markets. With this studio, Evolution enters the Philippines’ licensed iGaming market—Asia’s only officially regulated jurisdiction for online gambling.

The operation, which went live this week, is a result of a collaboration with One Visaya Gaming Corporation (OVG). OVG operates under the strict oversight of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), enabling Evolution to provide licensed online operators in the Philippines with its full suite of trusted live casino content.

“This new studio is a major milestone in our long-term commitment to the region,” said Gionata La Torre, CEO of Evolution for Europe. “Partnering with OVG allows us to deliver world-class live content tailored to local preferences through licensed operators.”

Tailored Game Offerings and Upcoming Launches

At launch, the Cebu studio is offering live Baccarat tables, with additional content scheduled for release later in 2025. Titles in the pipeline include Lightning Roulette, Marble Race, and the uniquely localized Super Color Game—designed specifically with Filipino players in mind. These additions will bring Evolution’s signature game show-style formats into the region for the first time.

Evolution emphasized its focus on regional engagement and responsible entertainment. “With player favourites available from day one and more exciting titles on the way, our focus remains on quality, innovation, and localisation—the keys to building trust and lasting engagement in any market,” La Torre added.

The company also confirmed that the new studio adheres strictly to PAGCOR standards, ensuring full compliance with local regulatory requirements while also establishing a scalable foundation for Southeast Asian growth.

Strategic Importance and Regional Growth Prospects

This studio opening places the Philippines at the center of Evolution’s Asia-Pacific strategy. The country’s regulatory framework has made it a prime location for the launch, especially considering Asia brought in €201.9 million in revenue for Evolution in Q1 2025—its highest-performing region for that quarter.

In recent years, Evolution has successfully rolled out live studios across North America and Europe. The Cebu launch extends that global footprint into Asia and provides a model for potential future expansion, should other jurisdictions develop similar regulatory structures.

The move also reflects Evolution’s broader intent to grow within licensed markets across Asia. With more region-specific games in development and plans to scale operations in response to local demand, the studio’s establishment signals Evolution’s readiness to lead the live casino segment in the region.
