Bloomberry Resorts Corp has expanded the content lineup for its online gaming platform, megaFUNalo, by integrating new titles developed by Gioco Arcade that feature Filipino cultural references, public transport icons, and festival-themed visuals. The update adds locally developed games built by domestic studios and reflects a broader move among Philippine integrated resort operators to introduce licensed online platforms alongside their physical casino operations.
Filipino-Themed Titles Debut on the Platform
megaFUNalo began a soft launch last June and has gradually broadened its catalog as it seeks to attract domestic players within the regulated online gaming framework. The platform offers casino-style entertainment and now incorporates arcade-style games with local motifs. Bloomberry also operates two land-based properties, Solaire Resort & Casino in Manila’s Entertainment City and Solaire Resort North in Quezon City, and has highlighted online growth as an important segment for the market.
Local media reports stated that Gioco Arcade’s initial titles for megaFUNalo include Cash Cash Fiesta and Jeepney Go, with Tuktuk Gold and Slice n Go scheduled to join the lineup. The new games were described as “arcade games” with Filipino elements and were stated to be operating within the rules of the national gaming regulator.
Executives associated with the platform cited audience growth and the importance of domestic themes. Cyrus Sherafat, described as megaFUNalo’s executive vice president and head of gaming, said: “We’ve been able to continuously increase our user base. I definitely think the partnership with Gioco [Arcade] is going to help expand that as we’re getting more of our content… Filipino-made.” Other comments attributed to Sherafat emphasized the appeal of familiar experiences, stating: “With Gioco Arcade, we’re… offering players experiences that feel exciting and familiar, all within a licensed and trusted platform.” The titles were described as drawing on cultural motifs such as the jeepney, associated with public transportation, or festival elements recognizable to domestic audiences.
As reported by GGRAsia, Gioco Arcade’s chief executive, Maricar Nepomuceno, commented on the implications for local developers, saying there was “a good future for Filipino game development,” and added that the adoption of locally made content would “excite our developers to stay here in the country and promote game development.”
Domestic Positioning and Regulatory Framework
Reports described the platform’s strategy as aiming to differentiate itself from illegal offshore operators by emphasizing regulated access and homegrown content. Executives noted that cultural familiarity may encourage players to choose licensed options. Sherafat also stated that the platform’s entertainment offerings were intended for a domestic audience, adding that Gioco’s development approach aligned with local themes and culture.
megaFUNalo operates under a PAGCOR license and forms part of a recent trend in which integrated resort operators establish online extensions of their brands. Industry data pointed to contraction in land-based gaming revenue in the third quarter of 2025 while online eGames revenue grew during the same period, illustrating why operators have been expanding into digital formats for additional reach and revenue diversification.
Officials reiterated commitments to responsible gaming following scrutiny of online platforms last year. Guidelines require players to be at least 21 years old, prohibit participation by government personnel including uniformed services, and provide tools such as deposit limits and time-out functions to support player control.
In December, the national regulator’s Electronic Gaming Licensing Department announced that accredited gaming system administrators, whether operating electronic casino games or not, would be required to pay a minimum guaranteed monthly fee from April 1, 2026. The regulatory changes indicate continuing adjustments to the digital gambling sector as more operators introduce licensed online platforms that complement their physical properties.
