Pragmatic Play has expanded its growing collection of candy-themed online casino titles with the launch of Candy Rush, a cluster-based slot built around multiplier mechanics and free-spin features.

The new release takes players into a brightly colored confectionery setting filled with candy symbols, tropical scenery and cascading reels. The game uses a 7×7 grid instead of traditional paylines, with wins triggered when five or more matching symbols connect horizontally or vertically.

According to the developer, Candy Rush offers a maximum payout of 15,000 times the original stake and has medium volatility. The slot also carries a default return-to-player rate (RTP) of 96.58%, though additional versions with lower RTP settings are available in some markets.

Multiplier System Drives Main Gameplay

The core feature in Candy Rush revolves around multiplier underlays that can appear beneath symbols during both the base game and bonus rounds. These underlays can range in size from 2×2 up to a full 7×7 section of the grid.

Each multiplier begins at 2x. Whenever a winning cluster lands over part of the underlay, the multiplier doubles during the following tumble. Multipliers can continue increasing until they reach a maximum value of 128x before resetting once the spin ends.

The game also includes a tumble mechanic. Winning symbols disappear after a payout, allowing existing symbols and new ones to fall into empty spaces. Additional wins can continue during the same spin as long as new matching clusters appear.

Candy Rush follows several earlier Pragmatic Play releases that used similar candy-inspired themes and multiplier systems, including Sugar Rush, Sweet Rush Bonanza, Sweet Bonanza 2500 and Jelly Express. However, the new title introduces a different approach by applying underlays beneath active symbols rather than leaving multiplier positions behind after winning cascades.

The visual presentation places the action in a tropical candyland setting featuring rivers, palm trees and brightly colored sweets. Reviews described the soundtrack as upbeat and arcade-like, while the game alternates between daytime and nighttime scenery in the background.

Free Spins and Bonus Features Included

Candy Rush includes several bonus features tied to scatter symbols and optional wager settings.

Landing between three and seven scatter symbols activates the free spins feature. Depending on the number of scatters collected, players can receive 10, 12, 15, 20 or 30 free spins. During the feature, at least one multiplier underlay is guaranteed to appear on every spin.

If the Super Free Spins version triggers randomly, the guaranteed multiplier expands to cover the entire 7×7 grid. Additional free spins can also be awarded if players land three or more scatters while the feature remains active.

The slot offers several optional betting features in select jurisdictions. The Ante Bet increases the chances of triggering free spins and costs four times the base wager.
