iGaming Business – Online gambling company Betfair will continue to offer internet wagering in New Jersey after its partner in the US state, land-based operation Trump Plaza, closes down later this month.

The news was confirmed by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE), which has signed an order allowing Betfair to continue operating its online casino after Trump Plaza closes.

Trump Plaza is due to cease operations next week on September 16.

David Rebuck, director of the New Jersey DGE, said in a statement: “The division will consider input from all involved parties to ensure a smooth transition as Trump Plaza winds down its operations and as Betfair continues its iGaming operations in the state.”
