Australian Gambling – Terravista has confirmed what his trainer Joe Pride knew all along – he’s the best in Australia and quite possibly the best in the world.

The five-year-old by Captain Rio came into the Group One $1 million Darley Classic having won eight of his 12 career starts, which included a fifth last time out in the Manikato Stakes where he didn’t get any luck.

He was on the fourth line of betting behind superstars such as Lankan Rupee, Chautauqua and Slade Power but he’s put them to bed with an amazing win from well back in the pack. Hugh Bowman’s ride didn’t exactly go to plan but the champion jockey, aboard the champion horse were simply too good.

“He’s a serious horse,” said Bowman. “He’s been getting ready for miles and Doncaster’s but we decided to change it around.

“You’ll here a lot more from him, he’ll be the best horse in the land this Autumn.

“His body shape is different now, he’s such a kind animal and we love him,” added Bowman.
