Thousands of industry professionals from all over the world descended on London yesterday to attend the first day of the ICE Totally Gaming exhibition and check out some of the industry’s latest innovations.
Being held at the ExCeL Centre in the London Docklands area of the capital until Thursday, ICE Totally Gaming is organized annually by Clarion Events Limited and has a reputation for being the globe’s largest recurring betting and gaming show.
“The eyes of the world are focused on the events taking place at ICE Totally Gaming and the truly amazing technologies that are being showcased by the industry’s leading innovators,” read a statement from Kate Chambers, Gaming Events Managing Director for Clarion Events. “I hope that all ICE Totally Gaming stakeholders, exhibitors and visitors enjoy another hugely successful edition of what has become the world’s favorite international gaming event.”
Clarion Events revealed that this year’s ICE Totally Gaming is offering in excess of 500 exhibitors drawn from some 67 separate jurisdictions showcasing their latest and most popular wares for the online, mobile and land-based casino, sportsbetting, bingo and lottery sectors.
“Despite the continued program of mergers and acquisitions taking place in the industry, ICE Totally Gaming continues to grow both in terms of the net floor space it occupies and the number of exhibiting companies that choose London as the place to launch products and services to an international audience, which in 2016 comprised over 28,000 visitors drawn from 150 nations,” read the statement from Chambers. “We know from our research that one of the most popular features of ICE Totally Gaming is the opportunity the show delivers for visitors to meet new [and] fledgling suppliers with fresh and invigorating ideas.”
Along with all the excitement taking place on the exhibition floor, ICE Totally Gaming is moreover offering numerous chances to attend insightful presentations and seminars featuring some of the industry’s leading lights as well as legislators and regulators.
“This year we are hosting 101 VIP attendees at the annual Regulators Luncheon taking place alongside ICE Totally Gaming and the World Regulatory Assembly, which we are holding at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre,” read the statement from Chambers. “To have so many regulators and legislators networking, discussing policy and meeting with the industry has to contribute in the development and implementation of progressive and business friendly regulatory regimes. Added to this, ICE Totally Gaming will host 51 chief executive officers from international industry bodies and trade associations, making it the most important meeting place in world gaming.”
