As part of negotiations for the renewal of tribal casino licenses in New Mexico, weekday hours could be increased at the gaming and entertainment properties. Current policy requires the casinos to close for at least 4 hours a day, Monday through Thursday.
Other changes in the latest proposal include a requirement for the casinos to compile data and reports related to problem gambling, as well as implementing player self-exclusion programs. Other changes, if adopted, include an increase in credit limits for responsible players.
